Terms of use
These terms cover how you can use startups.org.nz. It's a free community project, so we've kept them short and plain. By using the site, you agree to them.

What startups.org.nz is
A free noticeboard for New Zealand founders and engineers. People post what they're building or what they're after, and others reply. Connections are made off-platform, using the links people choose to share. We don't broker, vet, or take part in those connections.
Your account
Sign in is handled by Microsoft Entra. Keep your details accurate and your account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from your account settings.
Be a good community member
Use the site in good faith. Please don't:
- post spam, scams, or misleading offers
- harass, abuse, or impersonate anyone
- post anything unlawful, or content you don't have the right to share
- scrape, overload, or try to break the site
We may remove posts or accounts that don't follow this, without notice.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to show it on the site so the community can see it. You're responsible for what you post and for making sure you're allowed to share it.
Connecting with others
When you reach out to someone or accept an approach, that's between you and them. We aren't a party to it and aren't responsible for the outcome. Use your own judgement, just as you would meeting anyone new.
No guarantees
The site is provided as is. It's a community project run by volunteers, so we can't promise it will always be available, complete, or error-free, and we may change or stop parts of it. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss that comes from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
